If we conceded loads of goals and none are his fault, is he to blame? Of course several goals are his fault, but you can’t blame him for EVERY goal that goes in.

This is an absolute nonsense argument. Its the equivalent to saying no need to fix a broken arm because I have a broken leg as well.
We have one position costing us about 15 goals against the rest of the league every season and we can fix it, yet blind loyalty to JP seems to continue. He needs to go and if CA sticks with him through to the end of the season, without an unexpected turnaround in form, to be honest you have to question the manager as well.

He is the last line of defence though, top teams have a top goalkeeper, i can't think of any top team from any era of the game where they have managed to win stuff with a weak keeper in the nets

That's fair enough imo, Pickford has a lot to answer for this season and I'm all for Olsen for the foreseeable but I'm not gonna use that as a stick to beat him with.
Not my point. I agree we should change him. However, to blame him for goals like the ones at United is ridiculous, and people who do should get a grip

He is not responsible for everything i agree but you can see the defenders defending as a solid line because they have no confidence in him whatsoever to come out and collect anything.

Pickford has obviously made some blunders and he has to take responsibility for them, same as the back four, all have made errors,as have the midfielders, especially Gomes, Sigurdsson, Delph, Owebi, James for his non tracking back, Richarlison for his stupidity in getting sent off, only Dominic escapes criticism, left alone these last three games fighting a losing battle with no assistance or service and finally Ancelotti for some really hard to understand team selections, tactics and substitutions. The good news is I don’t think it can get any worse and America has just announced a vaccine that stops 90% of users getting the virus.
I said earlier, mate, that any team playing us will know they have a decent chance of getting goals. What have we conceded now? About 15 goals? It's very poor.

Oh to having a keeper not to moan about every week. But hey this is Pickford. A keeper who on average every game makes a mistake or does something stupid.

In terms of the weekend’s game, the push from Maguire, what’s being overlooked is the kick he then received from the hyperactive one. If it’s ADHD that he has (which has always been my hunch), that’s a nightmare condition for a gk. An outfield player with hyperactivity can largely get away with it (having said that it cost Gazza in the ‘91 Cup final when he ran into Gary Charles) but a gk has to exude calm.
A lot is spoken about issues with the defence, especially Keane. That’s valid. But the panic the gk causes among them makes them worse.
