Spot on mate. I was saying the other day his awareness of where he is in his box is a joke.
For the first goal he was arsing about pushing their player and ended up too early close to the near post. Possibly a tactic of theirs? Not sure but it worked. Thought he got his angles wrong for the second goal. Should have conceded a third when he came flying out when they hit post.

He left 95% of the goal to his right for Wilson to aim at for the second. That can't be right. There was something wrong in his positioning for that one. I don't hate him as much as some on here, but we need a new keeper.

I think the issue with Pickford is, he’s lethal when he thinks.
The save onto the bar, was reaction and he does a good job when he deals with that.
we’ve seen countless occasions, where, when he thinks, he just gets in his head and makes mistakes.
Leicester was a more recent one. Flapped a ball going out for a goal kick, led to a corner he flapped at and then panicked and messed up the goal.
Today, corner came in and he side stepped closer to his near post. Organise your team, and be central.
So many occasions where he’s thought and cocked it up. We need a new goalkeeper.

no no no he's beyond defendable now he has obvious technical flaws.
He doesn't move his feet well imo, it seems that he just sets himself, waits for the ball and dives, that's why he concedes a lot from distance and you never see him getting behind the ball and smothering shots, everything's palmed away at full stretch. 1st goal today is an example of this. 1st he followed (an offside) Hendrick across his goal havin a little pushin contest, so that when Wilson (movin away from goal and a good 14 yards out) heads it, he's way out of position then rather than movin his feet to run and dive across the goal he sets himself and jumps from where he's standing so that a well directed but completely saveable header looks like a worldy when it isn't.

yeah nice post anything that's a reflex save or within his immediate reach he's great, but so much of goalkeeper is mental and he's completely mental haha.

Hoping Carlos play is only keeping him there to try and build some confidence so he can sell for a decent fee in the summer. Pickford just not reading the script and keeps fluffing his lines. .

His hyperactivity, his lack of composure, his inability to make the right decision more often than not, ultimately he’s a low IQ footballer.
When he doesn’t have to think, ie. shots at him from point blank range, he’s good (especially saving with his feet). He’s shocking at pretty much everything else.
His “good” saves from distance are often not good at all. His positioning is so poor that he has to pull of a worldie that would be a routine save for a gk with a brain.

Perfect summing up.
Nothing wrong with his split second reaction saves. But id say thats about 25% of his job. The rest, shots outside the box, decision making, organising, commanding your box...75% of the other stuff. Erratic as fck.
Need a new goalkeeper is exactly right. And i will say that if we win the next 5 games.
He is not a long term option.

I can’t stand him as our starting keeper however he can’t be blamed for either of our goals today.
The first is down to brain dead marking of someone who had already scored two in the corresponding away tie (no excuse) and the second is solely down to Doucoure weakly conceding possession at the other end of the pitch and not even trying to reclaim it.
