Does go to show though that you have to be very careful with the idea of getting in a "top keeper" as it can backfire.

They are all only one really bad game away from totally losing the plot!

...it doesn’t really make it any different that Pickford is still very ordinary. i wonder if the shift to modern day keeper who’s skill set is as much about controlling and passing the ball than the basics has contributed to the fall in standard. I’m not convinced with Olsen either.

Surely there‘s a keeper in the worldwho commands his area.

The way our defence has played over the last couple of games I think Olsen would welcome the rest, but I'd take Carlos' updates with a pinch of salt to be honest.

What I’ve seen the goalie at Brighton, Sanchez looks a very good keeper, good size 6’5 and his distribution is good, not sure what he’d cost.

It would be a massive gamble for Carlo to choose Pickford for the derby game. Quite apart from anything else, the media pressure, harking back to van dikks unfortunate accident would be unbearable. But if Olsen gets injured beforehand then Pickford would have to play. I have no problem because it is 100% one of those games I record and only see later if I deem it fit to watch.
