Especially when it is a player who is likely to stay in the Premier league - selling Pickford would make it much harder to beat whichever team he joins both in cups and in the league.

2 years on his deal, same as Richarlison.

Thats the issue and if we extend then great...top keeper sorted for 5 years.

If not then £40mil++ and we may even sign a keeper for half the fee who turns out just as good.

Cant argue with keeping him...top class.

Some of those saves were superb.

I remember when he was thrown in the Sunderland first team due to injury. They got battered every week and he went through it, but it made him a better keeper.

After playing for England and nearly winning the euros, and now having a relegation battle where he’s clearly giving it everything and pulling off worldy saves..he’s got some tremendous experience for still a fairly young lad.

Well done again today Jordan Pickford. MoM for me again.

I’ve been openly very critical of Pickford from when we’ve signed him, but my word, the saves today and against Chelsea could very well have saved this club from the abyss. Well done lad!
