I really don't care about any of the England stuff.
I think he's under more pressure because we've seen him have error strewn periods in a way most of those other guys haven't.
He did have a good save against Villa but also allowed a fairly soft goal so that wouldn't be really what I'm looking for. I don't think he's put together a whole game in a long while.
Would you be saying the same if it was roberto Martinez getting grief in a bar and leaving the bar because of it .Then a scuffle breaks out that Martinez had nothing to do with .Would this be Martinez fault ? somehow I don’t think you would be saying the same here. Your agenda is getting a little tiresomeHe's always in the wrong place at the wrong time, isn't he?
Stop making excuses for this utter man-child.
There seems to be this misconception where I'm criticizing Pickford because of errors and I'm not, he's been quite reasonable with that since the last bad spell you mentioned. I'm criticizing him because he's not very good at saving shots. IMO it is important that goalkeepers are strong in this area.Well his selection for England is based on his England stuff, so there can’t be discussions about x or y being close to being England’s number 1 without discussing the form Pickford is showing to Southgate which is the main reason he’ll stay at number 1
Your last sentence is a bit of an over exaggeration. He hasn’t put a whole game together for a while? He’s had probably two error strewn spells at Everton, the first on the back of the Origi incident, the second under Ancelotti until Olsen arrived. Either side of this he’s been pretty good. Lloris Allison Schmeical and especially Ramsdale have made lots of errors also, some far more high profile including some of those keepers kicking multiple clearances straight to opposition players in big games, or getting caught in possession of the ball. Let’s not even get started on De Gea before this season.
All keepers make errors, Pickford is pretty good in comparison to some in the league who we don’t focus on as much. He’s ahead of the England keepers by a long way and he’s probably the rung just below the likes of Mendy and Ederson in the PL
His shot stopping is the strongest part of his gameThere seems to be this misconception where I'm criticizing Pickford because of errors and I'm not, he's been quite reasonable with that since the last bad spell you mentioned. xG against isn't really a keeper stat?Fpref.com has him in the top 25% of goalies across the best 5 leagues in Europe for shots saved vs shots on target and in the top third for xg against.
That happens often as it does with him because the story starts with "Man goes in bar with his yahoo mates and gets bladdered their all night..."Man goes to bar, man gets grief off strangers, man leaves bar. Scuffle ensues.
What's he supposed to do in that situation?
He's an oaf who will always find himself at or near the centre of an altercation."Wrong place, wrong time" yet he'd already left and wasn't involved. Sounds like he left at the right time and was in the right place.

Unbelievable that scally gets the support of anyone.
I'm saying it's happened way too often to that clown for it to all be him being the innocent party. He's like catnip to pissed up Geordie morons and it looks like he's up for their BS too.Ahhh, so you know what he was drinking on his night off too. Drunk people are usually so good at walking away from trouble, as you know,
