It was pretty damn close. I'm not really sure which part ends up in our net and we're not in here fuming.

His positioning was spot on. His handling was spot on. His punching was spot on. He didn't lose track of the ball coming through a crowd of players. He had no stumbles over the ball when it was played back to him.

All little things that a keeper can get wrong without the ball ending up in the net. There wasn't a moment where something looked like it could have gone wrong if an opposition player was a bit closer or a defender helped him out.

A goalkeeping performance doesn't need spectacular moments to be above or below standard.

He really has been good this season, it's funny, he's at the age now when Goal keepers often seem to mature into the players they can become.

There really aren't. Every keeper makes little mistakes quite regularly and every keeper makes complete howlers every now and then. They might not always lead to conceding and sometimes don't affect the result in terms of win/lose/draw so they often go under the radar but they all make them.

Again, there isn't a keeper who performs like that week in / week out. The praise obviously goes over the top, such is the way of footballing hyperbole, but that was a not a "standard" performance.

Don’t bother, he’s a delusional broken record and he can’t even stop himself from trolling this page even when Pickford has been excellent.

One good save. The first was really bread and butter stuff. The one in the second half was pure luck!
