I never get some of our fans at all wanting to sell our better players, and pickford is one of our better players, to then and i would say there is a pretty good chance end up with a keeper no where near as good

Pickford has played a massive part in keeping us up for the past two years and as you say some of the smooth brains on here, would happily sell him.

Bazunu is someone that Southampton bought on the way up!
And he will be a very good keeper, but has made a lot of mistakes lost his place in the team! He will learn and get better though!

Pickford did the same, he had a lot of learning and growing to do to become the goalkeeper and leader he is today.

We cannot afford to have a goalkeeper learn on the job like Pickford has had the opportunity too!

Can you imagine the side we have had over the last 2 seasons with a goalkeeper 'on the way up?' We would of been down by Christmas!

I have posted that if its a younger lad then bring in an experienced keeper as well to have some competition.

Its not as if we'd be short changed where goalkeepers are concerned, theres a lot of them and they arent always in high demand.

Pickford is more valuable to us as a player than pope is to Newcastle and I’ve always liked Pope good solid keeper but he’s not worth more than pickford either to the team or in monetary value. Again in money terms tell me what they are both worth.

Priceless doesn’t really happen with assets or in football every asset has its price even if people say they wouldn’t sell if Newcastle was offered £150m for Pope I’m sure he’d be well gone. So if pickford is £50m and pope is priceless surely his monetary value must be more than £50m? Sorry just trying to work out the gulf between pickford and Pope in your head.

It's just bizarre how some people would essentially give one of our better players, by any objective measure, away for mere peanuts of what his actual value is, by any objective measure

Remember. It was losing their goalkeeper that pretty much sunk Leicester last season. Selling Pickford should not be considered unless an absolutely absurd bid of close to 100 million comes in.
