Turning down 45m would be shocking. Hell turning down 30m would be bad. If these are the types of numbers in play he should be sold to the highest bid we can get.
I think 45m is probably a "fair" price, considering his age. I know you won't agree and it's not a reflection on his talent alone. He's still firmly Englands number 1.

I doubt he will push for a move, by all accounts he's very happy here, but United is still local.

Sell him and throw 45 million at DS

Get as much as you can obviously but if an offer over 30m comes in then he shouldn't be on Everton come August. I think any team buying him even at 30m is absolutely out of their mind so I can't say 45m is fair. I don't really subscribe to the whole "he's worth more to us" thing either. But I'm not going to complain if United for some unknown reason decide they should do it at that price.

Ultimately the paths I see are he stays or he's sold rapidly because we need to balance the books. If he's here July 15th he'll be here.

I could swallow 45m.

I couldn't really swallow 30m as easily.

The issue is replacing him, I know, you think it would be easy, but I know you ain't new to Everton.

English tax
Englands actual goalkeeper tax
Premier league tax

Yes. He should be leaving Everton only for an astronomical fee
I'll enter actual medical shock if we get a world record fee for Pickford. You can say we should not sell him then and that to me would be very narrow minded and poor management of the club if something reasonable is offered.

The reason I think we should only entertain a massive fee is because he has signed a 5 year contract, plus we can’t afford to do a Leicester here. They sold their keeper and failed to replace him properly, this was a massive part of their relegation. Same applies for us I fear.

We need to get better at football on the whole. A small step back at GK that enables multiple steps forward elsewhere is worth pursuing.

Leicester didn't concede 68 goals just on goalkeeping.

How many steps forward do you get with £30m. You buy 3 £10m players and you’d be lucky if 1 or 2 pan out. Not to mention the massive hole you have made in one of the most important positions in the team.

You do not sell your best players if you don’t have to and certainly not for such a small amount. Wouldn’t sell him unless he kicked up a fuss and certainly not less than £50m. You’d be paying over £20m on a Henderson or Kelleher.

United players in the England squad probably tapping him up as we speak, over breakfast. Gonna be a miracle if he's still with us in August.
we probably need this cash to give BK a golden handshake.
