Anyone who thinks we should sell Pickford ahead of Onana needs their head examining.
The thing is we always talk about buying young players and selling them on for profit and right being a sell to buy situation. Pickford would make us more money to build with.

Onana we wouldn’t make a fortune selling him this summer, that’s not to say it won’t happen

The ratio of profit vs the amount the team is weakened by would be much much worse selling Pickford.

45 mil for England's no 1 is buttons, especially when the likes of kepa, Alison and edison cost 60-70mil.

Maybe this is why bills hanging round, one last simp to the mancs for old times sake

I agree. Selling Pickford would be crazy. The money would be nice but Pickford is worth too many points to Everton to consider letting him go. There is no chance u could replace him with a comparable keeper for next season without adding money to whatever you got for him

How much did we get for Gordon and how much of that went to improving the team?

We are up +70 million from Gordon and Kean, selling an important player for a modest profit is a great way to get relegated unless you have a cheaper star you are going to replace him with. Onana should go way before Pickford, because it would be making a nice profit on someone who hasnt had a big impact on the squad.

This is perfect for that board this way of thinking: now they've got the fans thinking like they've achieved some kind of victory if we 'keep' Pickford by choosing to sell Onana instead of him, instead of, you know, actually building the team around them both.

Ederson and Allison are better keepers. They just are. 50mil for Pickford is probably fair for both sides. The “England #1” thing regarding value is stupid. David James was Englands #1 for a time. Rob Green started in the World Cup. Why is that particular designation so relevant?

Because England are a top level international side and he's the keeper.

Both sides?

Because England were underachievers and/or not as good as they thought they were when they were in goal? Pickford's the real deal, and this England side is too.
