I am very confident that we would have been relegated in either of the last two seasons without Pickford. Given we are likely to fe fighting at the wrong end of the table again this season it would be madness to sell
But I’f we get 60 mil plus and buy 2/3 new quality forwards, even if we have a 15% drop off from a new keeper and extra 25 goals next season Keeps us up easily

Two or three quality forwards cost a lot of money and are very, very, very difficult to find. Especially when it comes to Everton

Tell that to Leicester they could score goals but had two terrible keepers who couldn’t keep clean sheets. Defence was bad as well to be fair but if they had a solid keeper I think they would have stayed up.
And if we had barnes and Maddison we’d have been mid table. Their defence was terrible. Ours is much better, Ndidi was injured or out of form and teilemans had a very poor 2nd half of the season that was Leicester’s issue.

I think improving on 1 goal iwobi and 1 goal maupay and 2 goals gray, shouldn’t be that hard and we all know how transfers, Onana was 33mil but we payed a small down payment and of course it goes over his length of the contract .

So getting 60mil profit can go a long way

Pickford is the current England goalkeeper who has distinguished himself in major tournaments. He has recently signed a contract which has, I believe, four years to run. We paid £25-30M for him six years ago and fees have risen considerably since then. We got £45M for Anthony Gordon in January, and Man United paid £80M for Harry Maguire some years ago. I'd say that a fee in the region of £80-90M+ would be realistic, not that I want him to be sold.
😆😆😆

People are crazy if they think Lille are waiting 5 years for their money.

Transfers are normally paid in 2 or 3 yearly installments.

100 percent...numerous key saves last season and season before that...He's been absolutely vital to us still being a Premier league team.

Maybe, but on our accounts it’s over the length of his contract, so 6.5mil a yr what we’ve agreed with Lille is nothing to do with P&S

We have breached Premier League P&S rules.

Thats money out, money in.

So whilst our FFP accounts look "ok", our profit and sustainability accounts, were we cant use crazy accounting tricks, are an utter mess.

The assessment period for which Everton have been charged covers four seasons from the start of 2018/19 to the end of 2021/22.

Everton recorded losses of £371.8m over the past three years.

But I do agree that the Onana transfer has very little to do with this breach, he was signed after this period.

I think it’s obviously over paying for players but, mainly wages and paying off managers and of course, not being able to sell players on. And them constantly leaving on free’s

Anyone who thinks we should sell Pickford ahead of Onana needs their head examining.
