Pickford again. I never got why they fume because he gets animated, not sure why people expect him to be a robot or something.

If he was the opposite and was cool, calm and composed then the media would still be throwing all sorts at him.

"Look how relaxed he is, he's not even arsed, looks like he doesn't want to be here. We need someone who's more animated!"

I'm not saying this emotionally off the back of last night or anything, I didn't even watch it to be honest. But I just can't fathom how people don't appreciate Jordan. He's absolutely brilliant, he loves Everton and despite comfortably being England's number 1 for the last 6 years he still not only is here, but, more importantly, wants to be here. I absolutely adore the fella!

I'm not saying this emotionally off the back of last night or anything, I didn't even watch it to be honest. But I just can't fathom how people don't appreciate Jordan. He has a major flaw with dealing with crosses, especially into his 6 yard box and when opposition teams have focused on this weakness we nearly always get punished. Dealing with crosses is a basic part of goalkeeping and that is a big part in why a lot of folks think he`s as great as his fans do.
As for wanting to be here he`s earning huge money and getting played every week no matter how bad he plays, and none of the clubs playing CL have made an effort to sign him despite them all having signed keepers since he has been Engerland No 1.

Watch the last 5 minutes of Bournemouth, Villas fist goal a few weeks back, and throw in his stupid mistakes v Greece at Wembley. 1 MOM performance for us and 1 for Engerland, wont change the mind of folks that thing he`s not as great as his fan club think he is. West Ham performance is what we should be expecting every week, not what we get week in week out.

He's probably one of the best shot stoppers I've seen as a goalie. But he doesn't come off his line for crosses effectively enough to be the best in the world

Came off his line a lot more tonight to punch or sweep up. Needs to do it more often but great game tonight

He can’t do that with us, we’re camped on top of him, we don’t get high up the pitch enough. He performs much better with a higher defensive line.

I think that’s why he always looks stuck between a rock and a hard place when playing for Everton, and gets stuck on his line or in no man’s land doing neither.

Fan club? Why do people talk like that. Its weird. He's not a perfect keeper. I can only think of Neville Southall who had the lot. His job description is also keeping the ball out the net and he's pulled off at least half a dozen top saves in the last 2 games so he deserves a bit of credit. Thats it. He's been good.
I mean the comment about Greece last month. He's been more or less flawless for England for years. That comment sounds straight out of the kopites/horse punching Newcastle fans who hound him on social media.

And this season he`s improved in that department by parrying the ball away from danger instead of into areas allowing the opposition to have another shot at goal.

Dont be so defensive about your mate the manager, we’ve nearly always played deep, probably due to the pace of our cbs, and I think Pickford plays better when the defence is higher, like Englands normally is, hence my comment.

Not criticizing the player but just the over reaction by some folks when he has an excellent game like he did v West Ham. There`s plenty of folks that really go over board in singing his praises every time he plays well, and equally when he costs us a goal folks go really over board the other way. Just different opinions for different people.
