The great thing with Pickford is that he’s still only 30 too which is nothing for a keeper.
So far he’s played 270 games for us in 7 years so he could very well break 500 games club.

Neville Southall with 197 is unreal.

I know we didn't win anything in 1988/89 but for anyone wanting to see how world class Southall was, watch the season review on YT and watch some of his performances and saves. In particular Coventry away, Villa away, rs away (save against Barnes and we were robbed as Wayne Clarke scored a legitimate winner crossed off as bloody usual)

Pickford is an outstanding keeper and still miles behind the big man. No shame in that like as 99.9% of keepers I've seen in my lifetime don't come close to Southall.

No doubt somebody might say Buffon or something, but I've generally not seen enough of any keeper who has not played in this country to even begin being able to compare.
