It's all Pickford's fault.
Fair pointGood keeper, got him too late and only played 2 seasons for us. That’s not enough time be included in such conversations (in my opinion of course)
He's definitely going to be the first to get done for it.View attachment 296955Watch us give up 20 corners a game to this BS, while the RS, Man Utd, Chelsea etc... never give up a corner, ever. There is a zero percent chance that this rule is administered evenly.

It has just this second occurred to me. This, this screams spot fixing. Imagine having an agreement on earliest corner or total corners per game. Bookies will be screaming blue murder.View attachment 296955Watch us give up 20 corners a game to this BS, while the RS, Man Utd, Chelsea etc... never give up a corner, ever. It is 6 seconds atm, any offences to be penalised with an indirect free kick, not a penalty. Its a good rule that won't be enforced properly. I could have sworn they already had a seven second rule that would result in a penalty, but it was obviously never enforced so maybe I was hit with the Mandela effect there. A pen is too much. A corner makes sense.
It's already a rule and they've just made the punishment less severe. Its basically never going to get enforced anywayView attachment 296955Watch us give up 20 corners a game to this BS, while the RS, Man Utd, Chelsea etc... never give up a corner, ever. They'll enforce it hard for the first three weeks of the season, then ignore it completely. Like all new refereeing initiatives. It's already a rule and they've just made the punishment less severe. Its basically never going to get enforced anyway
Thought it was the 1st March, not 1st April.View attachment 296955Watch us give up 20 corners a game to this BS, while the RS, Man Utd, Chelsea etc... never give up a corner, ever. There is a zero percent chance that this rule is administered evenly.

An indirect free in a crowded area maybe doesn`t give the attacking team as much of an advantage as a corner would, where you have already prepared for and have you`re attacking options spread out in the area.It is 6 seconds atm, any offences to be penalised with an indirect free kick, not a penalty.
To award a corner seems bizarre. A corner should be for when the ball goes out of play. A corner for holding on too long seems artificial, should have kept it as indirect free kick imo.
