He’ll be off in the summer and I for one won’t blame him. By then he’ll have been busy enough to have made three seasons worth of saves for us! I doubt he joined Everton thinking that he was coming into a circus like this.

Would like to see Pickford come & be more positive at corners, punching the ball clear etc as 99% of the time the keepers get protected & a foul is conceded rather than run the risk every time of headers on our goal...
We look so vulnerable at corners & need our keeper to be pro active & demand the ball relieving our defenders of the constant pressure we seem to be under on dead ball situations & corners....
Keeper coaches please have a word before it costs us again....

But that was just badly judged, practise makes perfect & our team would benefit from a confident keeper commanding his six yard box....
Started off brilliant and quite accurate, now he just seems to put his foot through it. It appears that its what he's been told to do judging from this interview yesterday
In an interview with the Times last weekend, Neville Southall said: “He kicks the miles and really hard all the time. Why? You have to vary your service. Play it into feet sometimes.”
Pickford was happy to put the record straight.

“I can play short if I want to play short, I can kick as far as I can kick it.
“With Arsenal we knew what they were like and what we were trying to get the gains in their half as deep as we could because we knew what a threat they were.
But if the gaffer comes to me and says we're going to play out and he wants me to hit areas like Ederson is doing at Man City then I'm capable of doing that.
“With his manager, Pep, that is the way they like to play and we have our own style. We don't take risks. If we can play out, we play out but we're not going to put ourselves under too much pressure and make mistakes that are not needed.
“Ederson is doing it with a lot of freedom but every manager is different and plays differently.
As good as Courtois and De Gea are, Real gave more pressing areas to be spending that sort of money on.

That's cause he clearly isn't world class. He wouldn't be at Everton if he was.
But my word is he an improvement on Howard, Joel and Stekelenburg.
