Makes some good saves, and even though the defence makes it hard for him, he should do better. Was not good against Spurs, should have saved at least one of the goals on saturday. He needs to parry balls away from out box also, not into the closes attacker to his goal.
Not near the finished article yet, too bad he’s still the best we’ve got cause he could have used a little break.
Also, agaisnt Spurs he kept shooting the ball towards their box, even tho we didnt have any players there. In other words, he just gave them the ball, over and over again, putting us under pressure.

No mate, its 40 0r 50 the team have conceded. I dont know the stats, but I bet his save ratio is higher than what he concedes. I dont care how bad a or good a keeper is, if your defence allows 20plus shots on target oer game, you are going to concede one hell of a lot of goals per season. In other words, sort the friggin defence out.

Shocked this thread hasnt had more posts over the last 24 hours, some good news for one of our players, at least one of the summer signings has done well, but I guess we only seem interested in doom and gloom, well done Jordan!

Gotta be radical here.

Already in the top 4 or 5 goalkeepers in the league.
But he is a magician.
Robles is good enough.
Move him to left back until we sign someone. That way his hoofs give a chance to Tosun & DCL to wack some headers in.

Martina + Pickford in goal does not meet Pickford + Robles in goal.

Trust me, I had a dream this is what happened, it worked well.

Kept us above water , without him our season would be a lot worse.
Needs a solid defence in front , when that is in place and our attack is more potent than a dying fly , we could be onto a decent time.

He makes mistakes like all goal keepers do (how many do Loris Cech Karius make every week). Realistically there’s only De Gea Courtois and Ederson who you would swap him for in the prem. At least he makes saves which is the opposite of what Howard and Robles seemed to believe goalkeeping was about.

He is a very young keeper, learning his trade in a team utterly bereft of confidence and one which has the defence in front of him rotated seemingly on a whim. Is he the finished article, not a chance, does he deserve criticism, not a chance.

I agree he has made some mistakes, but given his relative inexperience and the general malaise throughout the club, i think that is to be expected. We have plenty of targets for criticism and abuse in our squad, please don turn on this lad!
