Definitely major flashes of Timmy H today
Yes stuck to his line like glue - like Timmy - great shot stopper stayed on his line - saved some good shots crap coming out for the ball on the deck and in the air - the two central defenders were awful and deffo fouled for their 2 no goal but he has now let in 49 goals more than any keeper in the Prem we are that bad - also since Sams new keeper coach came his form is not as good !

He's let in 49 more goals than the next worst keeper?!?!?!? Joeyl Robles not the answer?!?!

I don't think the Keeper is the issue tbh. It's one hundred percent the defence in front of him. Keane is way too slow and gangly and soft. Williams doesn't have anything to give.

I'd be looking to have Holgate and an experienced head next to him tbh. Two young CB's would be a disaster.

I think the best players I've seen consistency wise are Gana and Pickford. Both will normally be solid.

Pickford played really well today, except for one poor decision on the first goal.

But hes kind of young, so thats to be expected. See the talent, see the mental mistakes. Anyone who is blaming him for us giving up so many goals is being an absolute and utter fool, because you know full well his defenders in front of him have been Martina, Williams and Schneiderlin.

..the least of our problems. Watching the game live, as they got in behind Keane again i’m saying to Mrs Eggs ‘where’s the keeper?” Amazed he didn’t come out for that first goal, especially as he should’ve anticipated Keane getting skinned.

I had my doubts but he’s smashing. I can’t think i’d be swapping him for any other than the obvious.

Pickford had some great saves today however still has a lot to learn...

First goal should have come out to narrow the angle would have probably blocked the shot...
Second goal needs to come off his line more at corners & command his six yard box....

Agree, When the move for their first started, well, punt started, it looked all day Keanes then Pickfords ball. Barnes isnt mega rapid, lets face it.

Odd one. But he did sound in the main.

...exactly. Had we had athleticism in the centre of defence we could’ve pushed up to the half way line and let them win as many challenges as they wanted because they’re not getting behind us with pace.

This is exactly what folk post about the lack of strategy. Buying Keane means we have to defend deep. That was made to measure for Burnley, and why they brought on another bruiser at half-time. To be fair, it’s probably why Allardyce brought in Mangala.

Steve Walsh is most culpable in my opinion. It’s not rocket science, it’s just footy.

Hope the birthday is going ok.

Defence was criminally negligent for the second goal. Every man and his dog could see where the threat would be from a corner. Everyone except the two Muppets that are paid a king's ransom to actually know.
Was Pickford at fault for this too? Maybe, I mean he could have yelled at the two idiots to wake up for what was so obviously coming.
We have been useless defending corners for too long. Makes you wonder if they actually practice the damned things.
