I dont really think we should expect any more then that right now, he is ace but is still very young and learning, some young players you can see will never be top draw, the RAW talent isnt there, but Pickford you can see has it and with time will be awesome, we just have to be patient. Getting a Premier League standard CH partnership in front of him will be a start

Great shot stopper there is no doubt, there is a doubt over his positioning.
He is young and still learning, but positional awareness needs to The the main area of improvement
But every stopped shot seems to pop back into the danger area. He worries me to be honest.

I think a lot also depends on the defence you’re behind but also how your team likes to play.
For example for me, best English keeper at the minute is Pope. However what would he look like playing in a team that doesn’t have a ridiculously low block? I find it hard to judge any of Burnley’s back 5 after Keane.
He’s done some great things and some not so great things for us this season but he’s 24 and I’m not worried about us needing another first choice.
2 PL seasons behind a Sunderland defence and our horror show. If we get a decent manager in the summer and a settled defence then I’ll properly judge him.

Id like to remind people that Pickford isnt a 18year old with tons to prove, he’s our main man in goal. He’s got more first team experience than Davis and is 5 years older, stop with this potential bs, he wont ever become good enough.
During the last two matches he’s been directly responsible for two goals agains. Thats not acceptable when both those goals chould have easily been saved.

He's already good enough
There are certainly areas he can improve, but he's easily good enough to be playing for a top 6 side and the stats support that
We've only conceded one goal in our last two matches btw
..I had my doubts but I think he’s been a very decent purchase, certainly one of our best performers this season. I know lots on here were wanting Butland but a few of the goals he’s conceded of late makes me think Pickford is better of the two.
