Out of all our summer signings, him & Keane are the only real ones who look the real deal atm
Really? I think Keane's been hugely underwhelming. Pickford has been fine I think, but no more than that. I wouldn't say he's cost us many goals, but nor do I think he's won us many points either. People are right that we have much bigger problems than him, but also right that he's hardly put himself beyond criticism.

*reported for being an obvious @Joey66 multi.

Not a multi. And I'm not specifically having a go at Pickford here either. But I will reiterate a point I have made several times already.

In each of the last 3 seasons, Joel has came in to a team struggling defensively and we have improved each and every time.

Once, you could say it was a fluke...

Twice, a lucky coincidence...

3 times, with different defences, different players, different managers, different styles, different Goalkeepers replaced?

He may appear to bit a dim at times, and he may have the odd mistake in him, as do all goalkeepers, (including Nev the God himself btw), but he is nowhere near as bad as people would have you believe, and other than simply making saves, he obviously brings more to the team than he is given credit for.

He has overseen improved defensive performances each time he has been given a shot. He has made some really good saves at key moments and won us points. He is big, intimidating, very vocal and even when he does make mistakes, the number of which are extremely exaggerated I might add, he has rarely cost us games.

I have no doubts that Pickford is the long term option, he is young, has a good reputation, and has made some spectacular saves, but aside from that, I don't see what else he is doing and like it or not, he is part of that defensive unit.

He also cost us a lot of money, so I know there is no chance of this change happening. Koeman is too stubborn and if he does drop him, it will be for Stekelenburg, just to make his point.

But it would be interesting to see if the fluke/coincidence could stretch to 4 years on the bounce...

You'll be hard pushed to find many bigger fans of Jord on here, but I really thought that was poor for the goal yesterday. It wasn't even a good finish, didn't need to commit himself one way as the shot ended up a comfortable distance from his left.
Yep, whatever your view on the lad, that was gash.

Once Morgan had dived in like that he had a free shot from closer than the penalty spot with the added advantage of the goalie not being set. Very little more that Pickford could've done.

He just flopped on the floor as he was looking to go the other way, I thought Hendrick had done him with the eyes, but he hadn't, Pickford just made a balls of it.

If Hendrick had placed it in the corner then I'd say that's fair enough but he didn't, he just swung a leg at it and hoped for the best because he's a really crap footballer and in the end if Pickford stays up it's an easy save.
