As someone said before, it was basically a penalty, the amount of time he had in the box. Percentage wise, Pickford has to pick a side and go early to cover as much of it as possible. He has picked the side which would have made more sense for a left footer, but in the end its a good finish.
Saves against Shaqiri and Defoe, as well as much better claiming of crosses compared to what we have seen in the past and some amazing distribution (one to Calvert-Lewin yesterday was top notch) have proven his talent.

Dont be silly, once isnt a lot, Lev Yashin would find it hard to keep clean sheets behind our defense
Besides how many free easy passes did Burnley make in the lead up to that goal? Chances are he was mesmerized watching our defenders wondering what they were doing.

I'm pretty sure he did... It was those 2 and Mori and Mori had a few injuries. Funny thing though, the defence was fine last year, all the goals were Joels fault. Now it's the other way round.
Its a good job Pickford played for Sunderland and not Wigan.
