Do they not still owe us for Joey Yobo?Would we have to compensate Fenerbahce?
He’ll end up offering all the Gwladys/South Stand out.It will end very, very badly, but what a ride it will be.
A club like Everton doesnt say no to Jose.
Put Zidane or Gasperini at the moment in a poll vs Mourinho and see if he gets 59%.
You pay well above the going rate usually for hope of an instant success and if it goes pear shaped, it really bites you.
I don’t want a boring appointment, but it would be nice to make a splash by getting someone currently highly rated rather than one who is famous for what he was 10 years ago.If you were as wealthy as the Friedkins, and you were trying to drum up sponsor interest in your gleaming new stadium, wouldn't you want to offer the most publicity you possibly could?
They will want a statement signing for the reasons above - and also because people of their wealth are egotistical and can afford to be.
I'll be amazed if they go for a "sensible" (i.e., boringly reliable) option when the time comes to make a splash (perhaps this summer, perhaps earlier). They are not some multi-millionnaire in a world of billionaires who knows he has to rely on analytics to get a competitive advantage when buying low and selling high to the real big boys. I think the old regime thinking that understandably permeates this place after 35 years of Kenwright will be washed away in 2025. They went big at Roma when they took over. I expect them to do likewise here.

You can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs bro.I'd fear for the aftermath rather than his tenure as he's left clubs in a right mess in the past
Any blue worth a wouldn't be expecting that; it's as much about a culture shift (albeit as extreme as it gets, which is what we need IMO).
Isn't that right, Jose?
I agree - but I think we need to become a destination club before the up and coming see us as a viable option. The old master with limited options might be a quicker way to get to that point.I don’t want a boring appointment, but it would be nice to make a splash by getting someone currently highly rated rather than one who is famous for what he was 10 years ago.
Can we do a PSR deal like we did with Villa in the summer. They can have Dyche and we’ll take Mourinho, pay each other £10m compensation. Dyche loves a kebab so he’ll be well up for it.Would we have to compensate Fenerbahce?
