It's a romantic idea that we'd get the Mourinho during his Porto/Chelsea days, but that was more than 20 years ago now and football has changed so much.

I dont think he's been a failure in recent years I just don't see a manager who's adapted to modern football and he's as stubborn as Dyche.

But if you had to decide between them both I'd go with the guy who's won trophies and has a personality.

The funny thing, though - and I agree with you - is that Rooney was still our best player the season he came back and an improvement over what we already had. I suspect that would also be the case with Mourinho. I mean, it's not that high a bar for him to jump...
Not sure Wayne was Everton’s best player when he came back, he scored a few goals but it was obvious, to me at least, he was well, past his best, I think Mourinho would be shocked if he saw the poor state of Everton’s squad, he might be more shocked if he saw his name associated with Everton, I doubt we will go for him but you never know!

He's won the lot in the game.

He'd take the focus and heat of the players.

He'd instil belief.

He'd make us relevant with recruitment - players want to play for him. Not so much relegation fodder who go for Allardyce, Benitez, Dyche, Moyes types.

Find it astonishing in our situation fans turning their nose up. I suspect a lot of it is not expecting its realistic.

Moyes it is, then.

The more I think about it the more it makes sense.

We would be horrible again, the players would feel ten feet tall not getting told they’re not good enough.

The pull for future signings would be more attractive.
A new stadium with mourinho we could be instantly box office.
