Because they are our competitors and have been for a few seasons now. The more I see Azul talking about delusions and entitlement the more I agree, I thought he was one wind up but he is spot on. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be doing our best to attract a good manger but people point to Ancelloti, who I think didn’t harm than good personally.

I would have more confidence about Mourinho winning us a trophy than any of the previous nine managers we've had in my memory.

I didn't even feel Martinez was capable even though he got us to two semi's.

Pundits like Merson know the capability of Everton, the football club is a sleeping giant if in the right condition, so of course him and the kopites don`t want Mourinho at Everton, they want to keep us down.

He's won the lot in the game. He'd take the focus and heat of the players. He'd instil belief.

He'd make us relevant with recruitment - players want to play for him. Not so much relegation fodder who go for Allardyce, Benitez, Dyche, Moyes types.

Find it astonishing in our situation fans turning their nose up. I suspect a lot of it is not expecting its realistic.

Ok this is a great point that I didn't consider yesterday (my stance was being against his appointment because it felt too risky).

However, nothing will turn us around quicker than the calibre of players we can attract (similar to Ancelloti being able to attract Rodriguez - who would never have came near us otherwise)...
