I mentioned a couple of months back that yes he isn't the same as when he first burst onto the scene and was such a master tactician, but he would elevate this club to a level the vast majority of Evertonians would have never seen and the elder fans can barely remember.

I'm not saying it should be Jose, but someone like him, someone with a big personality to really galvanise the club and gets the fanbase to believe again.

If he wanted a real challenge at this stage of his career, where the chequebook would be locked away except for special occasions and results were based on a coach having to coach mediocre players, then Everton would be one of his greatest challenges.

At some point, someone has to come from somewhere and be a hero and write themselves into Everton history. It's an amazing challenge and he's one manager who would back himself a million percent.

In a heartbeat. He'd put some fire in the squad of spineless shithouses we currently have.

Don't give me the 'he's past it' stuff either, so are we, we need each other.

Added plus, he hates them lot next door as well.

Make it so Dan
Said it a few times in think he’s coming down the hill not going up it so there are issues around that but im not having he’s finished personally . The bloke won the conference league 2 years ago , the 26th trophy of his career .

I’ve always loved him , his public arrogance and hatred of that lot appeals to me . Probably says more about me than him but it’s the truth.

The manager style can be divisive , certainly amongst the squad but in the short term is usually successful and not only seems quite the ride but is also probably what our lot need.

Despite all that I’d love a young progressive , exciting , engaging manager but I’ve no idea who that is . I am strongly of the opinion that as much as anything need someone that can get the crowd up for this and can engage them as we are absolutely shot at the minute. Mourinho would probably fit that bill .

There are almost certainly managers I’d rather see at Everton than mourinho not least 2004/05 mourinho but I certainly don’t think 2025 Everton are in any position to turn our nose up at him .

This is spot on .

I wish I’d read this before my post

Comical some of the shouts in here.

Obvious Chelsea & Madrid history aside… Finished 2nd with an absolutely cack United and got Spurs European football whilst getting both teams to cup finals (winning with United, sacked before the final by Spurs). Also won a trophy with Roma recently.

To suggest we’re better than him given some of the managers we’ve had in the last 10 years.

Delusion beyond comprehension.
Sam Allardyce
RaFatkopitebastard Benitez
Frank Lampard
Sean Dyche

Not even a discussion is it

Would he want to join a club in the predicament of Everton? Of course he's an upgrade on Dyche. Of course he'd be a draw for some transfers. But would he actually want it? Can't see it myself.

Never thought we could get Don Carlo, Jose would have been an utter dream to have in our dugout, I’d be all over it if it could happen but it depends if he still had the hunger for the PL and if there was any lingering tension with TFG over his Roma firing
