With Rodriguez (creativity) and Doucoure (running) likely out for the next game maybe we should play him in a front three against Burnley. Bypass the midfield.

He's pretty strong on the ball and quick enough. It'd give the opposition something to think about.

No, he is not Maradonna, but he showed that he is fast, strong and can run with the ball. Something not many at Everton can. Chelsea's defense would probably have had to run more if they had met King, than DCL and Richarlison in such a match. King is a more complete player. No, that does not make him a better player, but that means he is not as one-dimensional as Richarlison and DCL.
I think this is wishful thinking.

What do you think is so unique about what DCL offers the team when we play this way? The same question can be asked about Richarlison? What are the opponents afraid when DCL gets the ball 40 meters from their own goal? Who can Richarlison run away from when he has room behind the lines? Or who can he win a 1 vs. 1 duel against in dangerous zone? Both of these players offer very little outside the 16-meter, inside here they are very good, but in the game in general, and when the team is deep, neither of them has the potential to create imbalance in the opponent's defense. King, on the other hand, has that potential, and he has shown it at Stamford Bridge up to several times.

I don't think King has nearly as much ability to do these things as you're saying. Hence wishful thinking.

We have to disagree. My point is just that he has the potential, and is a bigger threat to a team that has a high line than both Richarlison and DCL. He has also shown that he has these extreme skills, but these moments do not come often enough.

He'll end up getting a run in the side and look boss once there's nothing to play for.

And then he'll leave on a free.

Thought he looked a lot sharper tonight than his previous cameos....Would look to start him against Burnley in place of Iwobi who will sit deep and will need to be broken down by playing further up the pitch without as much need for the defensive side as was the Iwobi role tonight.
A chance to see what he can do as a starter rather than the limited minutes we have seen for whatever reason,we reaaly don't have many options and to watch Iwobi go through the motions again will be grim viewing for sure....
