OK I'll wait for him to not be good in our team too. But I don't find that to be a good way of looking at it. Plenty of players have performed well in not great teams before stepping up. And almost anyone would look a bit better with better players.
Maybe get behind him? Until he proves either way. That's what I'm doing not assuming he isn't good enough from the outset. That's quite judgemental I haven't seen enough full games of him to judge. One in three is decent for a back up wing/forward tbh. Meanwhile you are in another thread bigging up Iwobi who has had plenty of chances?

Relax it isn't like I want him to fail
Fair enough you just sound very definite. Even when we have bought players I don't rate that highly I give them a chance and trust the manager has a idea for them. I think King can be useful but I also know we need better options on the wings and in attacking midfield.

I'm completely fine with bringing him in for 6 months just in case and that seems to be essentially what we've done. If Carlo and Brands really believed in him I think they'd have given him a real offer. So I really am not expecting anything because of that and my memory of him previously is average at best. People want him to play down the right and as I'm down to try anything to create more I don't mind that but it isn't my first idea of how to improve things in that area.

He was brought in on the last day of the window. He is a stop gap. However that is no to say that if he gets a chance and scores a few it won't be reconsidered. He is an improvement on Tosun who we allowed to go the opposite way. My view was if he got a chance and scored between 4 and 6 he might get offered a contract. So far his opportunities have been sparse.

Think that’s why we brought him in.

Stop gap until the summer.

May still work out well for him here, still a lot of games to played but he needs to be starting to make an impact. If he doesn’t get many starts now, especially ahead of Iwobi, it will be telling.
Wondering if he might get a game against Burnley if James isn’t fit. Front three of DCL, Richy and King isn’t slow at least. Although he hasn’t really done anything of note in his cameos so far.

If Sigurdsson is injured I think he needs to start. Have him DCL and Richarlison all swapping positions so there defence can't settle.

That's how the window works - you have to wait to bring your loans in. But King wasn't an afterthought. Everton had been after him for some time, and we wouldn't have brought him in if we didn't also have a degree of interest in making the transfer permanent.

I agree he should start against Burnley.
