The problem with this is that JK says that it was Ancelotti who told that he wanted him to the club, and he promised him a lot of playing time. If this was solely a Brands deal then Ancelotti would hardly lift a finger to get him to the club.
Most likely this was a proposal presented to Ancelotti by Brands. This is what we can get. But Ancelotti was not particularly interested in doing a background check, but more concerned with eating food, and therefore said yes solely to be able to eat the food without interruption. Ancelotti loves his food.
Much can be said about the signing of King, but at the end of the season we did not exactly set the world on fire. He is an ok PL player, and could at least have given us something other than what we kept trying, and which did not work. Personally, I do not understand why we did not go for the combination Richarlison - DCL - King.
