Vs Brentford - Onana through ball to Gray, 1 on 1 with the Keeper, should've scored

Vs Leeds - Iwobi through to Gordon = Goal

Vs Leeds - Gordon through to Gray = Goal (offside by an inch)

Vs Leeds - Gordon through to Patterson, 1 on 1, should've scored

We have creativity.
We don't at all. Anyone who watched us last year can see that, this year has been slightly dif due to Gordon's end product. But he could revert back to last years form pretty quickly, If he does then we have maybe have Iwobi who can pick a pass, but rarely gets an assist.

Apart from that there is no one.

This all day

Name a team with less creativity, attacking threat.

Top to bottom your league position depends on this.

It can't be a good window if you didn't do very much to address your arguably biggest need.

That aside, it's an unproven/mediocre forward from everyone thinking this is the best window in 5 years. Relative to where we were when DCL went down, the club is better, perhaps much better.

The moves all make sense, which is an extreme rarity in recent seasons. Young talent combined with steady experience. No washed up paycheck seekers with undeserved attitude and from what I can tell, no cocky starlets already looking past EFC to their next move.

It was going all too well just 1 or 2 more forwards and i think it would of been almost perfect.

Still happy with the squad compared to what we finished last season with.
It is what it is, they key is fitness but either way im confident we will be 9-12th this season.

Remember this league is gash outside of 7 or 8 teams so nothing to worry about.
Our main relegation rivals are: Villa, Leicester, Notts Forest, Bournemouth, Southampton , then possibly Brighton/Fulham, gonna be a scrap again ?

We wont have relegation rivals this season.
That was last season when a certain manager went 3 months without winning a game of football, signed Rondon got rid of James Rodrigez and ousted Lucas Digne.

Are Brighton Leeds and Southampton fighting for a CL place? They are only 1 or 2 points off the top 4 now.

I keep forgetting about Maupay  I'm happy with the defence and midfield. Just hope we have enough going forward.

Defence - improved
Midfield - improved
Attack - regressed
Board - Koff
my feelings too.

let's see how maupay does, but when brighton (a team renowned for not scoring as many goals as they should) are willing to let him leave for a nominal fee, the alarm bells start ringing.

like one or two others have already said, i wonder if we would have been better off using the money spent on maupay and mcneil to buy a top class striker for 35m.

12th biggest spenders in the league

9th for net spend

Both Liverpool and city had lower net spend than us which is interesting

Brighton number 1 for net spend with 60 mil profit but when you have graham potter in charge it doesn’t matter
