On loan or on a permanent basisI can honestly say we will sign between one and eighteen players this summer.

I think we will sign some players this summer.
All depends if he wants to be a long term successor or to play football nowWouldnt be suprised if Juventus will buy him, long term successor of either B or C
We might see some movement in the Neg League tables in the coming months.IF WE DON'T SIGN ALL OF THE PLAYERS I AM GOING TO FUUUUME!

Or maybe the pay rise might persuade him

That's why he was supposedly leaving last summer + ended up signing a new deal as he wasn't allowed to leave but of course wasn't being paid adequately.
I'd agree mate. If we're trying to get him I'd say thats fair play. But in reality, don't think we'd get him and we don't need any drawn out saga either. And thats what it would be. Rumbling on for weeks and weeks whilst Napoli keep putting the price up and stringing everyone along.I can safely say we won't be signing this player

Sounds to me like they got him to stay another season and sign a new contract by agreeing to a buy out value similar to bids they turned down last summer in the contract, sounds odd until you realise it's exactly what a lot are suggesting we do with Lukaku
Only reason they kept him last year was not wanting to sell their two fan favourites in the same summer.

In effect it would be using the stones money to replace him. If anyone said last year we could replace stones with either koulibaly or VVD with no negative net spend then it would have been a no brainer. Although our defence has improved under koeman, he's still not satisfied (said so himself). A purchase of either VVD or Koulibaly would improve us so much as would a top keeper but I guess we already know that.Buyout fee supposedly 49mil. VVD would be around the same price and no buyout...
If Moshiri wasn't fibbing last year then we should just pay the buyout and make him an offer.
