Moyes I think felt nervous of getting big name players in as he found them hard to handle and we made a success of training up younger, cheaper players.

I think we are in a different situation now. Primarily because we have a manager who can handle bigger ego's. I also think as a squad we have more than enough potentially good players. What we need is real quality in key areas.

Chambers is a lad with potential, I'm not sure how much further advanced he is than say Galloway, or where Holgate may be in 12 months. Howedes is a great defender but does lack the physicality which I think we've been missing.

Coulibaly looks the perfect defender for what we required. Big, quick, strong and able to support the younger/smaller lads in the side.

most definitely. i just think we need two centre backs with stones going myself and as you know we have plenty of potential youngsters coming through without having to worry about buying potential. i really really rate chambers, but i've been wrong about young players before ha But yeah, we definitely need another old head. If jags gets a bad injury we have 25 year olds as our oldest centre backs, leading a team going through a transitional season.

ah well, i'm very very excited with the names linked, will be a tad deflated if they don't come in, all full internationals starting for good countries. I was excited of a good window, but was expecting the calibre of player to be linked to be a tad below. Ah well, it could all go wrong, patience necessary.

that's what i believe, but esk said he believed we COULD go about our ideal transfer business without relying on the sale. We would have had to sell him in january then without doubt, but we could have been stuck in a rut if we were struggling to shift him having spent massive money,

can he get a fanzone in cardiff? or at least pay for my travel every week to every game? he's loaded, i wouldn't mind forking out the tickets if he covers my public transport costs
