of course mate, no doubt about it paying big wages can help. But so can a lot of other clubs now as well plus there's clubs who can offer CL and there is clubs who might not be in the CL but have been in it consistently for a few years.
I've no doubt we are in for the names that have been mentioned, why wouldn't we be in for them as they are better than what we have. But been in for them and then getting them over the line is a different matter. Not being negative either mate, we've all been there where we haven't had a pot to piss in for years on end. Not being impatient because we've had windows where we've signed no one until the last minute. Still time left,
I just hope we aren't trying to run before we can walk and going for unrealistic targets and spending time on players who aren't interested in us.

Think because over the years we've had a few false dawns mate, we're always a bit sceptical, and until I see players holding the shirt, I'm the same.
agreed mate and it's not even a case that I'd be fuming if they don't sign because I half expect them not to. If they do then that's great but if they don't then that's what I've come to expect.
I think maybe after another 3 title wins, 3 fa cups, 2 league cups, 1 europa league and a CL in the next 6 years, I may sleep easy again.

Spot on as well, we hear of these riches we have, we hear of Everton out bidding everybody, we hear The Mosh saying he will give us everything he has and like you, im calm, I still believe, but we havent done anything yet, so you are right to have some doubts, anybody that doesnt have doubts hasnt supported Everton long enough, thats not a dig, its just a fact, Everton that.
Well hopefully Everton that will mean something else soon and if we dont get these players over the line, thats fine, at least we tried, we could have already signed abar 20 players by now, but we are holding on, in hope that these highly rated and very in demand players choose us, cos we pay them the most wages or offer their clubs the most money, Everton that? A long time ago, it was, hopefully the good times are back.
And if its all a ruse, if its all some dodgy ponzi scheme and The Mosh runs off with, erm, well if he just runs off, well at least we had some hope, if only for a few months.
