Kebab or Pizza in the context of football fans protesting ownership groups

Which one do you prefer? Now think about it, are you sure? Really?

  • Pizza, obviously

  • No, hang on, you're right, I've never been disappointed by a kebab

  • Cheese on toast

I agree with the price and that goes for pasta dishes as well, given how cheap pasta is I find them extortionate.
Yeah pasta takes the proverbial too. I know of a not particularly cheap Italian place where the owner happily tells his customers he makes his pasta fresh every day - I've seen him pouring Morrison's own brand dried pasta into the pan to cook.

Funny you should say that, I worked for a well known rubbish frozen food shop for 3 weeks, all I could handle, and I used to see local kebab shop owners buying frozen chicken strips and such like in bulk. Makes you think like.

I would love to but quit my job a month ago lol. Got some health issues i want to deal with as well before looking again and I don't drink alcohol anymore haha. I still think germany is a worthwhile visit though and would love to go back sometime.

I hope you’re doing ok mate, fingers crossed before you know it you’ll be back over there and gorging on Currywurst aplenty!

Oktoberfest cancelled this year.. sorry.☹️
Wtf! I only jumped on the booking the other week haha. To be honest I was dubious of going, I did wonder what it was going to be like with restrictions in place. You’d have had to have waited for a lifetime to get into a tent or found it impossible to book into one

Be well mate. I might be doing the same and for the same reasons - not fun. As for drinking, I do still drink, I just haven't been able to since December. At least I am not tempted by dodgy donners.

Kebabs here in Germany for some reason are much better than the usual ones you get in the UK. Can be enjoyed drunk or sober. I'm a big fan of the Lahmacun. But saying that the best kebab I ever had was after a night out in Bradford, it was marvellous. Some kind of chicken shish kebab.

If they do Lahmacun in the Czech Republic it's usually a sign that the kebabs will be on point too.

There’s a thing on YouTube called food insider, they go to places renowned for particular things. They do one on the best Kebab and apparently it’s a food truck in Berlin that has a line that’s like an hour long. To be fair, I’d wait that out no problem. Few pocket Paulaner and you’re set

Cheers I'll check that out. There was a little kebab kiosk in a town I used to live in where the queues could take ages sometimes. It was a tiny space with 2 people, 1 cutting the meat off the thing and one taking the money and putting it in the bread and packing it. Once I'd been queuing about half an hour and the person in front of me ordered 12 kebabs. I'd invested too much so had to wait it out but I was fuming lol

Was it worth it though? Situations like that you just have to convince yourself it’s the best kebab you’ve had or have access to or you’d only get mad.

I used to work in town and on the train home one night and got talking to a lad from London absolutely inhaling a kebab. Said he was in Manchester on business and years ago he came to Liverpool for a stag do, got a kebab and whenever he comes to Manchester he goes out of his way to come to Liverpool to get a Laban from the same place haha. Reckons it’s the best he’s ever had, he goes to a place called Botan which is dubious at best. If you’re ever in Liverpool go to Hot Chilli, you won’t be disappointed pal. I would t mind but that fella must live near hundreds of better kebab houses in London

Cheers mate I'll have a look at that later. Yeah the place I was at definitely had the best rep in town so it's a question of how much time you're willing to invest in waiting. The queue that time wasn't the longest it had been but a couple of people put massive orders in so it was a bit unlucky.
