The headline reads "the English are sure"

Sport FM are reporting that the press in the UK are confident but aren't sure if the reports are real.

http://www.sport-fm.gr/article/573016

Sounds to me like 'DavidMoyes' posted this on GOT, dailymail and twitter got a hold of it and the story now is just being rehashed with no confirmation coming from anyone that actually matters.

And the winner for most sensible post goes to.....

FFS This happend a couple of years ago when Riquelme MK2 rumour was doing the rounds, Sky Sports had a reporter outisde Goodison Park all night because someone had posted on BlueKipper he was signing, it hit the net and went beserk.

There is no official quote from either party and no other transfer news to report on, they've picked up on the trend and reported it to fill space. O'Keefes article in the Echo is awful, just lazy journalism

Surprise surprise Moyes does try and keep his possible signings close to his chest

What has he confirmed mate?

Looks to me he has printed the same story every other paper in the country is running

There wasent a rumor/story anywhere yesterday about us signing him until the thread on here was created

Vey quiet for ages but then when a few bob becomes available somebody who was never mentioned as a possible signing by our ITKs over the summer pops up

Do you think we will get top 5 lad, Win the F.A cup or League cup

Maybe Moyes will break his 11 year duck and win something

Think it's possible to make a push or win one of the cups this year, if we make the right additions yes.

Mirallas would definitely fit the bill, although still need more additions personally, but it would be progress towards such a feat.

I also think this is more than just rags scanning GOT and filling papers, too many have picked up the story and run with it, and some of the more reputable sources too, maybe i'm just being too positive for my own good though.

If anything, the direct translation is worth a laugh:

Almost certainly the English press has to move to Everton Miralas Kevin! As mentioned, the "candy" will pay 8 million, provided in the clause of his contract with Olympiacos, while the Belgian striker is expected Thursday to Merseyside to undergo a medical examination and, if all goes well sign- .

Originally it was called the Arsenal team that was moving through the first scorer of Greek league, but yesterday emerged Everton. The team of David Moges is ready to spend to acquire half the money from those who put in funds by selling Jack Rontgouel at Manchester City. Paying the amount of the clause, the English club does not even need to enter into negotiations with Olympiakos, although the "Reds" is not at all displeased by collecting this amount.

If confirmed, the English reports, Olympiakos will move to replace Kevin Miralas player with value. For the attack there are Tzempour, and Mitroglou Pantelits (the Ntiogo does not count) and found a player who can play mainly as extreme aggression. The "reds" are said to consider the case of Adelina Vieirinia, who after his outstanding performances at PAOK transcribed in Wolfsburg but has failed to "win" by Felix Mugatu and adjustment difficulties.

You're right, but surely O'Keefe would check with his local source before just rehashing a thread on here???

Not rehashing the thread, Printing what other papers have printed this morning

Would look a bit daft if every paper in the country was running a story and the Liverpool Echo didnt

My opinion 7-8 at best, But that just my opinion

As for the transfer story who knows in all honesty, I would guess we will all know in the next 48 hours

Best bit right there

Fair point that I suppose, but if you're right, then the Mail, the Guardian & the Echo have all printed a story based on zero information, barring DAVIDMOYES on here, which I find staggering tbh.

Fair enough mate, I think we could definitely challenge for at least 6th though with the right additions.

As for cups, answer me this mate, do you think we would have beaten Liverpool in semi final if we had Pienaar available?

Because I do.. and who knows what would have happened in final, we have got close to cups in recent years, just have lacked a little quality and balance across the pitch (right side), if additions were made, we are capable.

Honestly lad, No

To many players vanished that day,They had there 3rd keeper playing and I think I remember Osman having the only shot on target at him (Could be wrong there), We bottled that game big time and I dont think one player would have made that much difference

Would not suprise me in the slightest mate, Have you read some of the crap they print week in week out with 0 substance

Like I said your guessing I am guessing, We will find out soon enough

We will have to agree to disagree, as at the time, Pienaar was putting in some of his best performances in an Everton shirt, being creative and taking the game into his hands. And I remember being gutted and a little worried that we didn't have him available for the game against the ****e.
