Kevin Mirallas

Mirallas has scored from frees and penalties before. If Baines were injured he is probably the player who would be asked to take the kick. It would be almost impossible for any player or manager to rip the ball from his hands and give it to Baines. It would guarantee the departure of Mirallas from our club. It's not exactly Hibbert who wanted to take the kick. The manager and Naismith could say nothing else. I think what will happen behind closed doors will be interesting and in the longer term I will astounded now if Mirallas is at the club next August.
In the meantime he is a good player who can contribute to our season and we need everybody we can get.

Yes but I think it took all (including some of the team) by surprise.

Of course he's been fantastic for us - one of those players that gets ya arse off the seat. But I would put him in the injury prone bracket. Ok he's a sprinter and they're vulnerable but Ronaldo is just as quick and is hardly injured.
How much bang for our buck are we really getting with Kev?

if he scored and won the points he would have been looking out for the team though?

i just think he got a bit big headed, was possibly feeling he'd been dragging the team as of late (he sort of has tbh) and wanted to continue doing that

Moment of overconfident madness is all. Sod all to do with transfers - even if he scores it, what scout sees that and is so impressed by him scoring a pen that he ignores the small detail of him going against team orders?

Huge pain in the arse now as we need team spirit and togetherness more than ever. We had that in abundance after the cup tie, and now it's down the toilet.

It has nothing to do with anyone but the self indulgent whopper who grabbed the ball before anyone else could to take a penalty he had no business taking. Saying Baines was weak is ridiculous. What was he supposed to do, have a fight with Mirallas in the middle of a must win game? No professional footballer should ever put his teammate in that position and we should get rid.

Good spotting mate I never saw that, but where the fecks Barry? Naismith and Lukaku are telling the selfish tw@t it's Baines job and Baines is saying it's his job, so you'd expect the next guy along should be Barry.
Barry was walking back to the halfway line and the saw the ensuing debacle started remonstrating with Jags but it was too late by then

There's a Vine on the Twitter doing the rounds of Kev grabbing the ball
Walking passed Lukaku who tried to take the ball from him and Naismith pointing at Kev to give the ball to Baines
Mirallas just walks straight passed them and up to the spot
If only he wasn't too busy taking photos of himself right now to feel like the tit he should.

Fuming with the beady eyed whopper.

Love him to bits but he was out of order tonight and I hope he got a strip torn off him by the rest of the players and management team.
