Jagielka is my primary blame in this imbroglio. He is not a captain's asshole
Tbh think it is pretty standard to have your CB and DM behind the half way line when a penalty is taken.Jags and Barry were not aware what was going on, they were back on the half way line which gnev pointed out . Totally standard
Imo, right now, Mirallas probably feels like the biggest tit on the planet...and to the person who matters the most - himself. It might be the humility lesson he needs.

Would Jags running up to wrestle the ball out of Mirallas's hands really have been that much better?
Agreed. One thing I can safely predict; Mirallas will NEVER again, in his football career, grab the ball from his team's designated penalty taker...Hopefully.
He's never taken one in the premierMirallas has scored from frees and penalties before

He was back on the half way line sorting out his laces, expecting Baines to take it. Not to blame at all.Jagielka is my primary blame in this imbroglio. He is not a captain's asshole
true thisShould have kept him on the pitch tbh, and saved the bollocking/fine for after we'd won the game.
We need Mirallas for the rest of the season, we can't castigate him.
Sorry mate, misunderstood your post - apologies!Thats what i mean, i was defending Jags and Barry.
