Btw didn't Sanchez do something similar for Arsenal against QPR - missed a penalty when it was meant to be Cazorla taking it? Of course they won the match, and even think Sanchez might have scored to make up for it, so no dropped points which probably helps.

Don't remember that much of a fuss about in the press - was there on the Arsenal boards @red1 @49ers ?
I don't remember anyone complaining to be honest. And we're not in a position to complain about Sanchez anyway, he's a one-man crusade for top 4 haha

We need to keep Mirallas. I think what he did was symptomatic of a bigger problem in that dressing room. The fact Distin who has been a model pro all his career clearly had a falling out with Martinez, the fact we've put in fewer tackles than any team in the league, and the awful form of consistently solid Premier League performers like Jags, Barry and Howard clearly says to me that there are some big issues there.

Now there is a parallel here with Moyes' second season in charge. They weren't a great collection of players, but were far better than a fairly dismal 17th place would suggest. Moyes lost that dressing room, and was forced into a re-think over his dictatorial management style.

If Roberto is to get through this, he needs a similar re-think.

That is completely ridiculous. Martinez(and Naismith) handled the situation perfectly in the post match interviews. There isn't a football club in the league were the players don't make suggestions to the coaching staff based on there experieces in play. The only person at fault over the penalty incident was Mirallas, and its obvious that the rest of the players, while backing the Naismith/Martinez media statement are really mad as hell at KM. That isn't 'having no respect' for the manager...in fact its the opposite.

I disagree, I think the players wonder what style they will be playing next! It is almost like they know better than the manager, hence have little respect for someone who now appears out of his depth. I remember Moyes/ Ferguson in post match interviews were they would say " It will be dealt with" ..... no trying to fluff it over, this commands respect, you mess with me your gone! I thought Duncan was brought in to be the hard man to Martinez nice guy persona. These problems surfaced last year we surrendered 4th place then lost all our pre season games, the warning signs were there but nothing changed. The problem is bigger than Mirralas, he should just have a bollocking off the boss then shake hands move on to next game, if he goes he goes, looking at the kopites tonight I am dreading the derby

Ladbrokes posted that haha, unbelievably cringey.

Hahahahaha. I know it's arl are but I would have been buzzing off seeing that lid fume.

Nar hes a good lid, hes sat there for time like, got some cracking lids who sit near me to be fair, pity theres a few utter different mutants in the non ST seats tho, gonna actually choke someone out 1 day lad, I swear down.

I like Kevs eyes.

It seems quite obvious that Mirallas has got his eyes on more money and chances of silverware elsewhere.
That's fine.
And if rumours of Coleman yearning for a move to Man Ure are to be believed then that too is fine.
Sell them, for the highest price possible.
What we don't need at this club is players who don't want to play for us.
Sell those who aren't in it 100% and buy in those who good enough and willing to fight for the cause.
Coouldnt agree more Alph, we need to move players on certainly but make sure that in so doing we win games and get to the magical 40 points
Should they stay or should they go?
I wonder if thats why Coleman has missed quite a few games this season, ditto others JMac, Mirallas and the not walking wounded
Injury or attitude or a bit of both
