29 goals in 321 PL apps when he was already known for being weak at best in the creative department, I would of hoped his goals may have rescued him, but they don't. I would like him back, but not as a Mirallas replacement.
goals scored = chicken with head....hmmmmm!

Don't agree with the first bit it's not about agreeing with me Mirallas has the stats to back it up if someone was to say that Osman was better than Iniesta I would also say they don't know football. Lennon is a slightly useful headless chicken

Iniesta v Osman is a bit exaggerated, but we all know that stats can be misleading.

Take Lukaku. At first glance, stats show he scored 20 goals last season which is a very good return.

Look more deeply and he only scored 10 in the league.

There is no doubt Mirrallas scores more goals than Lennon, but you cannot deny that we looked a far more fluid outfit when Lennon came in, freeing up Coleman. That signing coincided with our best form of the season.

Would it be too far too completely put that down to Lennon. Yes. But it was definitely a factor. Further, Lennon often played at the expense of Mirrallas.

Stats are only so helpful when it comes to players. what we see game to game as beloved followers of our team counts for a lot also. Can you say that you didn't respond to the positivity of Lennon, and he didn't have a clear impact on our team as a whole?

Stats would say he just scored 2 goals? I'm not even sure about assists.

I'd like to keep Mirrallas, but I would sell him in a heart beat if he wanted to leave because there is an adequate replacement out there.

I have said I would like Lennon. At first I didn't I thought he was just a panic buy but he won me round and I'd love to have him as a member of the squad but I have been consistent in my views on Mirallas as along side stones and macarthy he is our best play Imo so if you want to progress you don't sell your best players, he can be inconsistent and annoying be he can also be brilliant a player in need on man management.

People go on like we turned into Barca when Lennon arrived, whilst we did go on a run of about 6 decent games we were still toothless up top and played slow and boring football.

Mirallas is twice the player Lennon is, If Mcgeady goes Lennon would be a good replacement but he would be a massive downgrade on Mirallas. If Kev is too leave you need to be looking at the likes of Yarmolenko, Konoplyanka, Shaqiri, Mertens etc.

Barclay1878 Totally agree re miralles however we need to remember the budget we operate under. We will not get any of those listed as there will be many, many clubs willing to pay more. I just hope we have a strong scouting system looking for young outstanding prospects who are as yet relatively unknown otherwise we don't stand a chance of getting them

IF Mirallas left your talking £12-15 million, assuming we still have around £15 mil to spend that would leave us with enough cash to certainly bring in any of the above.

Spurs signed Eriksen for £8 mil despite being linked with the likes of Chelsea and Utd, Saints signed Tadic for £11 million and Swansea signed Bony for £12 million, both players linked with bigger clubs for £15 mil+

Problem with us as a club is we don't try our luck, Spurs are a pain in the arse but to their credit they atleast put an interest in big players and they don't pay £100k+ a week wages either.

Slowly the richer clubs are filling their roster, it might take a little bit of time but there's no reason we can't attract those players especially considering we will be able to offer them first team football. Something not likely at Liverpool or Spurs.
