A player gets into the team on form , not on name or ability only. A place has to be earned and at the moment Mirallas hasn't earned that place.
Keep his head down ,work hard at training and the chance will come. When it does it is then up to him to make sure he stays in the team.
At the moment Steven Naismith is a far more effective substitution. He was against Spurs and certainly against Chelsea.
I think that Kevin Mirallas is a little surprised and probably a little disappointed that he is still at Everton. He admitted that he wanted leave and suggested that Atletico were interested and that promises to allow him leave were broken.
I think he may have been surprised there was so little interest in him from other clubs in the summer and that it will take some time for him to get his head around this and settle back to work.
