Harsh to say he's not been playing, he was one of our best players against watford and looked like one of the only people who could create, and again was solid and score a worldly against Barnsley in his only start

Think him being dropped was a bit harsh tbh. Was one of our better players v Watford and nobody played well against Spurs (bar Howard). Done his bit against Barnsley too. I can imagine he isn't too pleased, especially after signing a new contract.

That's just the way it's going to be this year though, we have 3 wingers and none of them start. Del won't be happy to sit on the bench every game either. Hopefully this is works in our favour with genuine competition for places.

Martinez is using a different system in the league atm, that's the only reason Kev isn't playing.

He's using Koné as a wide forward who will help hold the ball up top, and also helps Rom out. Kev's class but he's a winger, and as such Lukaku becomes a bit more isolated at times - it showed against Barnsley.

I imagine Kev will come on against Swansea, and start against Reading. Competition for places can only be a good thing.

Form too.

Before hand Kone netted twice and had an assist. Now Naisy has just turned up and netted a hattrick.

Squad game to be fair. If he comes on and changes a game, he'll be a shoe in for the next etc.

might just be he's not fully recovered from his injury. countless times he comes on and tweaks it first game back. could all be mind games of why his name is on the bench or maybe he's only fit for 15 min cameos and hasn't been deemed necessary yet.

i think we all would have accepted lennon would come on ahead of him with us winning the chelsea game. had we been losing he probably would have come on.

maybe he's just not deemed good enough. i hope he's back starting soon.

Think it's his attitude myself. In the interview about Naisy at the weekend, Roberto constantly referenced his character and the standard they have in the locker room. Kev kind of gives off the opposite vibe that Naisy does, especially when it comes to being about the team and being a positive presence.
