Kevin Mirallas

Why is Mirallas still here? It's like Martinez wants to see him rot away and scupper his chances of the Euros this summer.
He's one of my favorite players to watch, and to be fair to him he never really whined his way of the team. He put his name out there (a little egotistical on his part), but I think he still loves the club and enjoys playing with his friends. I think he burned the bridge with Martinez and it has affected his attitude.

Martinez just doesn't fancy him. Best for everyone if he moves on really.

It's a massive shame because he's one of our best players, we all got caught up with Deulofeu's form over November/December but the fact is that Mirallas has far more end product. Throw in the fact he's on another level to Kone and you it's quite depressing.

I honestly think it's not even that - Martinez just only wants to use him in very specific situations. I understand why he wouldn't bring him on tonight - and Pienaar did a lot of good when he came on - he did well to come on and win those niggly little fouls he always does - which helped relieve some pressure.

I think apart from that Pienaar was very off tonight. He was always a brilliant tackler and great on the ball, but he just doesn't have the energy he used to. I would love to see Mirallas come in for Barkley and play right behind the striker when we need a goal. He is at his best when he is put in position to be direct, and you know he will get some shots on target.

I think that would've been the change to make too mate. Kone was a weird one, but I didn't mind Pienaar as he's experienced and helped us see out that game.

Personally, thought it would have been Lennon instead of Kone, then, as you said, Kev should have been on for Barkley, who couldn't really get into it in the second half.

Pienaar did more than Kone, and I wasn't too bothered by his sub yet I wasn't overwhelmed by his performance. He did win some crucial fouls though that we should have capitalized on (our set pieces are very poor apparently). Lennon definitely should have come on instead of Kone though.

Think he should have come on instead of Kone or Pienaar to stretch the game a bit and give Sagna something to think about so he couldn't just camp in our half. Same with Lennon on the other side.

Surely he must have fellen out with Martinez? Remember the public statements about promises and game time, safe to say those haven't been kept.

It's the 13th of Jan. So far he's played one full game (out of four) plus half an hour against City. It's horses for courses and Kev playing tonight from the start wasn't the best option. Think he should have come on instead of Kone though.
