Kevin Mirallas

Give him a few games, he's an absolute beast at terrorising defences when on his game, and taking free kicks for that matter. Bringing him on in the 85th minute + as Martinez has done a lot of really does nothing more than waste some time and embarrass the player imo.

I'm glad Kev's annoyed he can't get to play for us, but give him a few games and he will make most on that pitch look very average again.

Mirallas and Deu on form, with Baines and Barkley as well.. Lukaku likes this..

said it a while agao and it still rings true.

Why would mirallas really be arsed when he gets a game if he isn't even in contention most of the time? He knows he would walk into another clubs 11 so when he gets a rare start or more than a 5 minute appearance why would be bust a gut to do something?

So what you're asking is...

Why should KM be professional and wait for his chance when the team is scoring goals in open play for fun in his absence?

considering he hasn't been in the first team consistently for over 12 months now, despite being an international footballer?

not like he he's just suddenly been dropped!

Last season was all of his making. He was playing well then started doing his usual veiled "come get me pleas" to CL clubs. Is contract was winding down and as Martinez said in the fan forum interview he did near the end of last year "KM has to decide if he wants to be part of our team....you dont want players who don't want to play for you".

This year he started the season, remember. Then he picked up a couple of injuries. Whilst he was out, and suspended, the team in an attacking sense has been fantastic. They can't all play.

So one of two things has to happen. He either has to grab his chance when he gets it or the team has to stop scoring goals for fun which would in turn present an opportunity for the bench players to stake a claim.

The answer isn't for him to come on looking half arsed because "he would walk into most others starting 11".

It would make us more open to selling him though, after all we aren't going to keep him if he didn't want to be here.

All i am saying is when his appearances are very little even when he does get on the pitch then something has to give. end of the day he just wants to get on and play and he isn't going to be round much longer either way if that isn't happening here.

(remember as well pienaar / osman/ cleverely/ kone ) are all getting into the team before here

Bad attitude is one thing but statistics another - this is the statistical order of merit:
Here are the statistics since 2012/13 season :
Order : minutes played , goals scored, assists, goals per minute played and goals and assists per minute played -
1)Mirallas 5912 min, 24 goals ,13 assists, 246 min/goal , 159 min/ goal and assist
2)Kone ; 4836 min , 17 goals ,10 assists, 284 min/goal , 179 min/goal and assist
3)Deulefeu: 1945 min, 5goals,12 assists , 389 min/goal , 114 min/ goal and assist
4)Barkley: 6294 min ,14 goals,15 assists, 449 min/goal , 217 min/ goal and assist
5)Osman: 6725 min ,10 goals ,11 assists, 672 min/goal , 320 min/goal and assist
6)Pienaar: 5016 min , 7 goals ,13 assists, 716 min/goal , 250 min/goal and assist
7)Cleverly: 6442 min , 7goals , 4 assists, 920 min/goal , 585 min/goal and assist

I rest my case why our nr 1 ranked player should not only have played 337 min this season

Isn't that showing Deulofeu as our nr 1 ranked player..

Only if you rate goals and assists as equals which i obviously don't and you obviously do -
My post gives the bigger picture and compares Mirallas to those who get picked ahead of him

Errr... well someone has to assist mate...

Mirallas is a crackig player on his day and I want him to play more and I want him to stay.

I think it's up in the air whether he will stay this window, i'm still inclined to think that he will. But I don't see him being here past the summer.

Where is the body language statistic ? At least Kone looks perky until kick off.

Interesting that in almost 12 less games Kone is only 7 goals and 3 assist behind Mirallas and his godlike status. Given his average of a goal every 284 minutes and an assist every 179 minutes if he'd played the same amount of games as Mirallas he'd have figures of 21 goals, 14 assists, 281 min/goal, 168 min/goal and assist. Which I'm sure you'll agree is very close to Super Kevs who's not had to recover from a near career ending injury and was roundly critiqued for being crap for the first two years in his time with us.

Maybe this Roberto fella does know something about this football lark after?

Oh and let's not get started on Deulofeu...
