Kevin Mirallas

And he got given a new contract in there somewhere. What was the point? Mirallas has quality and we've seen that in his time here again and again, big games too. I don't see the events as being connected. He was a bit of a knob touting himself for a move but we got him to sign a new contract. He just hasn't really been given the same opportunities that Kone, Naismith, and Deulofeu have been given to have a run in the team. I miss seeing Kev winning us games, he used to do that for us and I don't see a reason why he couldn't do it now given the chance.

i wouldn't say he's had any less of an opportunity than naismith. both have made a similar impact ... very little. we all know he should be in the first team based on talent, but his way of going about it has been very poor. I'm a big fan, but he hasn't really done anything this season to warrant starting. He's been better than kone of late, but it's not the manager's choice to play two wingers and deulofeu has taken his chance this season. I don't know why that's his choice, but i work in IT and he's a premier league football manager.

Kev needs to have got his head down more and forced the manager to pick, just like a few others have done. He still has a future here, but he needs to take his opportunities more.

Don't think he does have a future really though mate, he has fallen that far down the pecking order and has that little faith in him from the manager now - despite his words to the opposite, that just don't see any way he can become a major part of the team again, best for all of us now if he's sold rather than rotting away sitting on the bench whilst we are paying a 10-12m rated player 50k per week for training

I was staggered when Pienar played and Miralles was overlooked at City.

I thought Pienar added nothing and could barely keep up with play. Whereas Miralles has been in and out
of the picture and can score a goal. Miralles needs to play to get match fit and contribute whereas Piernar will not be renewed and is off in the summer, so why play him?

Mind boggles as to why. if Mirallas is never going to play he needs to be sold but will be missed. Shame that Martinez seems to have favourites with others arguably not having a look in. Whats the point in trying in training if you feel you will never get picked

if he's stroppy about not playing he'll ask to move. If he's happy to rot in the reserves then that makes him a hypocrite regarding moaning about not being played in the first place.

The Mirellas situation is a conundrum. I believe Martinez does rate him, why else would he keep him. £10-12 million plus £50,000 per week could bring in a very useful player that he could use. I think he sees that Mirellas has lost his way but feels he can be brought back and do a job again.
We have other players we need to move on prior to Mirellas .

I don't understand what this manager hopes to achieve with only one player in the team who you could reasonably expect more than five goals a season from.

The ways he uses Mirallas is bizarre. He should just move him on and use the money to buy someone whose face will fit in the Bobby Gang.
