Had an ankle injury that was troubling him and prior to the was coming back from his hamstring injury that saw him stretchered off vs Liverpool.

Kevin Mirallas admits he is playing through the pain of an ongoing ankle injury at Everton FC. But the Belgian believes he will be back to full fitness in the next 10 days.
Mirallas suffered damage to his ankle ligaments in a challenge from Queens Park Rangers’ Jordon Mutch on 15 December, and has been hampered by the problem ever since. He has seen his training regime disrupted, and has managed to play 90 mins just once in the last 6 games.

Just don't think Martinez has been fair to him in a long time.
Perhaps after the West Brom penalty incident there was an issue between them - although both publicly denied it - but prior to that don't think there was any problems. If there was why did Kev go and run up to him and hug him after he scored his wonderful goal vs Spurs away at the end of November?

Kev is an enigma in every sense of the word. Quality enough to be in the first 11 every week, but part of that is a selfish atitude to go for glory more often than not. I think the problem with martinez is basically that, having one player out of the 11 who will do their own thing on the pitch rather than fit into the team mold.
but then Kev has proven before that he can come up with the results at the same time. So that pass accross the box from kone / barkely / barry for example could be in the top corner from mirallas. Or it could be wasted. It is just whether martinez wants to have that loose wire in the team build knowing full well an off game for kev is pretty much a weakness in the team (no worse than kone but tell him that lol)
bit of a ramble but you get my drift.

To make a point?
Could be just a run of bad luck. Mirallas was happy enough to sign a new deal in the summer, he started the first game of this season and got injured, made his comeback and got send off, served his ban and got injured again. Hopefully we'll see a hell of lot more of him for the rest of the season

Should have played a lot more this season. Hope he gets a run now.

We need to sell him now.
I prefer we give him more playing time, but if that's not gonna happen we should indeed look into selling him. Hope he stays though and will get a fair chance from now on.
