mirallas to swansea or west ham?

really?

he's one of our best players, easily when on form.

Won't let davek's love for martinez allow him to re-write mirallas history.

By the way he's never 'moped around' the pitch in the hundred odd games he's played for us, so don't see why he'd start now.

Maybe if martinez started him more instead of the most useless striker that's played for everton for years, on the left, we wouldn't have only won 6 games, and maybe would have turned some draws into wins.

Mirallas is one the most annoying players to ever play at goodison in my opinion, has driven people potty with his temperament and lack of commitment to play for his position. Naismith has gone now, there is a role for him to make his own on the bench there.

Make it yours, Kev.

The real question that needs answering is why there is so little interest from KM from other clubs . I do believe that our manager does not trust the player or does not like him for some reason and for the right money would be happy to sell. Our manager doesn't seem to fancy him but it appears others don't either or else they will take him at a knockdown price only.

I don't think there is any doubt that both player and club felt he was leaving last summer and yet I think it was only West Ham that showed any interest but they did not offer anything close to a realistic fee.
The player has barely been used since August but yet again there seems to be no interest and yet we get 8.5m for Naismith.
It makes me wonder why.

If we did get a fee of around 10m -12m for him together with the 8.5m for Steven Naismith that would give the manager 20m approx. to sign a player or maybe two. It would mean that a player like Yarmolenko could be signed at practically no net cost and maybe even save on wages. Assuming that Yarmolenko is even available for transfer.

if we have a chance to sign yarmalenko, but have to raise it all through player sales, then our board is the disgrace most on here thought it was

I'd take no notice tbh, they were saying we'd be lucky to get the fee we paid for him (£5m) a few weeks back.

tbf Walken I am not suggesting that is the case, I am more focusing on KM and don't really understand why his career seems to have stalled.

I think the truth is that none of us has any idea if we are in the market for players this January. I think the possibility of a takeover in the not too distant future may be a deterrent from spending big in this window. New owners just may not want the old board to be incurring a large financial expense without their approval or go ahead.
I think the Naismith deal was simply too good to turn down for a player that wasn't being used.

You never saw Terry Curran or Peter Beagrie, did you mate?

I would have took 1mill for the naismith regardless of the back up, 8.5 for him was the deal of the century, Kev's career has stalled through a combination on injury suspension and the manager, it hasn't stalled that long though, worth remembering about this time last year, most would agree he was our best player on form, I'd be keeping him regardless of what targets we have, the guys a matchwinner, they are few and far between. The idea he can't be trusted is a myth created by those that either have an agenda, or are backward thinking fools who don't trust skill or flair, the sort who would be telling you how valuable a player naismith is

Apart from the penalty I don't get why people have been annoyed at his temperament. He was a little bit reckless in the challenge that got him sent off when he came on as a sub but people don't get wound up in the same way when Besic makes wild challenges or various others.

It was around this time last year when he almost single handedly dragged us through to the 4th round of the cup after it was Mcgeady ironically who had blown it with the most ridiculous sending off ive ever seen.
