Kevin Mirallas

He's not to be trusted. You can guarantee if he was a starter for any length of time he'd lose his discipline and start moping around the pitch or getting red cards or demanding all the free kicks and penalties.

Needs to be used sparingly and at the manager's discretion.

...I think he's a real talent. My view is that had he spent the same time on the pitch as Kone he'd have scored and created more goals and we'd have had a better balance. Goal scoring wingers are a premium, we have one that we don't exploit.

Oh you can guarantee that can you?

Despite his disgusting attitude, him wanting to leave, his gold Bentley, his hatred of the manager and his despicable weekly interview he still manages to have a better goals/min ratio this season and he's meant to have been poor until Chelsea.

Bottom line with Mirallas is that he has talent but he's not right for this team and the collective effort it requires.

apologies I meant 13/14 season.

Bottom line is Barkley is not having a better season than Mirallas' best for Everton

Yup was just gonna say Mirallas was injured for about 3 months of the 12/13 season including the entire Christmas period.

The 13/14 season is the original one I was comparing the two (Kev's best season and most injury free) and you're right that when you compare the stats as this moment in time Mirallas has a better ratio. I've jumped the gun by saying that Ross is having a better season than Mirallas' best... but he's not far behind him right now and is currently outperforming all of Kev's other seasons for us in my opinion.

I just think Ross gets treated fairly harshly by fans when to be fair Kev can have the most incredibly ineffective games for us and fans will still moan when he's not selected. I thought he was excellent against Chelsea and both him and Ross should start against Swansea.

Agree with The Esk above... something has definitely gone on in the background with Lennon and Kone getting the nod ahead of Kev which they never should've in a million years. All that said dropping Barkley to fit Mirallas in isn't the answer in my opinion anyway.

Apologies if my original response was a bit succinct... was just confused about the 12/13 comparison. Didn't mean for it to come across as me having a go at ya.

edit: the quote with x was accidental - not me being a tosser

Think the problem with Mirrrallas and the continued use of Timmy No Catch is an indication that team selection should be taken away from El Coco Biff for a short while until his judgement and body language improves.

He really has a potential to be the bad apple....roberto has managed him well like you said....It might be useful to keep him for now...but if for example Monaco would offer us €13-15m I would take it.

I think we'd have to settle for that o less. He was unshift-able last summer - no one would take him - and a new contract just protected Everton from a fire sale for him this season.

He said Euro to be fair. I think £10m isn't out of the question, in a market were Naismith is apparently £8.5m and clubs are desperate for flair to save them from the drop or push them into Europe etc.

.....I think he's better than what we have at this point in time.
I place him in the Naismith category in the sense that I'd only play him off the bench to shake things up. Last 20 minutes when we're struggling. Just enough time to change things and less time for him to skulk around...or worse.

I know he said Euro. Imo, he'd only be moving to a continental club and it wouldn't be a top one, and most of them dont have €13M to throw at players.
