He's a lost cause mate. Besides this thread is meant to be about Mirallas and how super duper awesome he is and how much of a big meany Martinez is for not playing him to to be the individualist hero of the hour

I'm not preaching though - I'm simply presenting to people, backed up with evidence, why he isn't.

Anyway, on topic - Cleverley is utter garbage and shouldn't be in the side ahead of Mirallas.

Of course he's better daz but for whatever reason Kone being in the side gets the best out of Rom. Ossie will probably retire or drop a division next season so I don't really mind him having the odd game here and there. Mirallas hasnt really shown a solid consistency in his performances for a couple of seasons now yet gets a pass from some fans because he can pop up with a goal or two

A goal every 6.5 games - take his hattrick out vs Sunderland and it is 3 in 38 games - A goal every 12.6 games!

It's not a free pass - people who aren't desperate to defend Martinez can just see the obvious step up in ability and can't understand at all why he has been excluded.

True but that could be a personal issue with Kev himself, we don't know what's gone on behind the scenes. If he's showing petulence or giving it the big I am in training then Martinez is doing the right thing by benching him and showing him who's boss.

Yeah but your making things up to justify him not playing.
Kev can make things happen and it was a missed opportunity not using him saturday

Its pure speculation on my part. Mirallas is actually one of my fave players and its a shame we don't see enough of him but without knowing the ins and outs we just have to trust the managers judgement whether we agree or not

Agreed mate but you, I and other fans aren't the manager. Its a cutting the nose to spite the face deal that saw Distin frozen out and Eto'o leave mid season last year. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and it Kev's case it definitely isn't but there's not much we can do about it as fans
