Yeah, on his day he's a world-beater, but he simply cannot be relied upon. He's either fantastic or invisible. He barely ever puts in a 7/10 performance over 90 minutes.

And that's why he's the definition of a "super sub" - someone you gamble on to change a game but do you hell rely on to influence it from the start - and it's completely correct that he's on the bench for us more often than not.

It has always been completely on him to prove himself in training and show that he has a determination and commitment to command a place in the starting eleven every week. He clearly hasn't done that.

I'd say he's been frozen out if this was a Moyes team, but this is Roberto Martinez - the man who'd play 11 wingers if he could. If Mirallas can't impress a guy who rated Aiden McGeady, then it says it all about his application.

What an absolute load of tosh, as has been shown many many times there is only one more consistent goal scorer than him, there is only one more consistent creator of goals than him.

He's more consistent at the above than 9 out of 11 other starters.

You do realise as well we hardly ever play 2 wingers as well.

I don't think you understand what "consistent" means. It doesn't mean "good". It means playing at about the same level every time out. If someone's fantastic half the time and a passenger the other half, he's inconsistent. That doesn't necessarily mean he shouldn't be playing, it just means you don't know what you're going to get when you put him in the lineup.

I know exactly what consistently means and he consistently scores more and creates more than every other member of our squad bar one in each category. Not based on one season or two but consistently since he has arrived.

You do know what you're going to get when he plays, a greater chance of scoring or assisting than every player he is competing with for that LW spot.

When he is fit and not out of form he must play simple as.

To drop him needlessly for Kone, Cleverley or any other non winger in his position is just poor management and we are lower in the table than we should be as a result.
