Kevin Mirallas

Real simple. 10 men against 11 for to long. Bossed them for most of the game which we lost because of a stupid no need tackle which reduced us to 10 men ... Which part is absurd !!
Sigh.

We scored again AFTER the sending off mate. We were 2-0 up and looking like scoring a third. The send off did us no favours, true, but it was not the sole reason we lost. Taking Lennon of and replacing him with Niasse was utter idiocy. Del could have been a like for like swap, maintaining a pacy link-up with Rom... but instead we removed the supply line to our striker and put ANOTHER striker up alongside him. Not clever.

Hope he has booked himself some impulse control/anger management sessions with a sports psychologist.

He seems a good lad off the pitch in general and on it when things are going well but the thing that separates good players from excellent ones is largely due to mentality in tricky situations (both personal and professional) and he needs to accept he lacks it at the moment.

And they were playing against a superior opponent - I'd argue that balances things out.
Err, Spurs were beaten by West Ham just a few days earlier mate, deservedly so as well.

Mirallas wasn't the sole reason for our loss, Martinez tactics and RFM having a poor game being also big factors, but it is rare that a team wins when down to 10 men for so long especially against decent opposition.

I've come to the conclusion that Mirallas's sending off was Martinez's fault. Kev has clearly been frustrated by being on the bench all season and when he gets on the pitch he's just trying too hard.

FFS Roberto!

That was my point exactly. Hard to win with 10 men for such a long time !!! No need for the tackle at all which was a yellow card all day long ...needless and cost us in the end regardless of other issues like the silly substitutions ... 11 men on the field I think we would of won ! Hopefully we can make it right this week and book a trip to Wembley !

As for Kev, ultimately proved once more why he isn't consistent enough to be a starter.

I know he didn't mean to get sent off, but for what it was stupid and reckless

Loved Mirallas when he first came to us but he has since become a Billy Bigshot who thinks he is a lot better player than he actually is. When was the last time he put in a half decent performance for us? struts about like he doesn't give a flying feck, lost us the game on Saturday with his antics, classic behaviour of a player who has got his big contract and now wants away for another big payday get rid before the tail starts wagging the dog.

Two assists against Villa, March 1st 2016.

He had a shocker against West Ham, but let's just calm down with the hyperventilating and hatred shall we. If we can tempt Yarmolenko to join us then sure, ship Mirallas out to Marseille, Valencia, Benfica or wherever. BUT don't sell him to a prem team FFS.
