I say again, though; it's NOT about one game.

Every time we are defeated, excuses are trotted out: the ref had a nightmare, defenders made howlers, we were unlucky, the atmosphere at Goodison was dreadful, and so on.

If that happened once or twice a season, or even a few times a season, you could understand it. But this happens all the time, or at least most of the time, particularly at home.

Watford - "We hadn't got into our stride"
Man City - "they're a good team and Rom had a goal wrongly disallowed"
Liverpool - "just one of those days"
Man U - "we were all in shock at HK's passing"
Palace - "We hit the post three times"
Leicester - "We had two penalties against us, we won't make those mistakes again"
Stoke - "a wonder goal and a wrongly awarded penalty"
Swansea - "We battered them but we were unlucky & Coleman missed a sitter"
WBA - see Swansea apart from Coleman missing the sitter
West Ham - "We played with ten men for most of the game"

I'm fed up of pathetic excuses. We've had two years now of poor play, lack of leadership, a disorganised defence, an inability to deal with crosses, and a horrendous home record. FOUR league wins at Goodison this season!

You missed "the crowd didn't help" too

Giving cards for diving should be done retrospectively as very few of them are blatant enough at first glance.

The present system - whereby the ref only gives a card if he's in no doubt there was a dive - works fine. Yesterday I couldn't tell from the Gwladys St end that it was a dive, but Anthony Taylor was perfectly positioned and called it correctly. And it was every bit as stupid and needless a yellow card as the second one. If he'd stayed on his feet we could have created a goalscoring chance. Never mind referees penalising players, clubs should be fining their own players over this.

The only consolation I can offer Miralles was that noone can accuse him of going missing yesterday, perhaps if anything he was trying too hard.

We played really well for 75 minutes but the toll of having 10 men struck. Only one person to blame - the idiot who got sent off - again !!
By that rationale, we should have conceded the fixture at half time. Don't be absurd.

Arsenal had a man sent off yesterday and they were playing a team that is vying for the title - yet they managed a draw. How did that work?

I have just seen the difference between Everton and Liverpool just now :
Benteke is brushed and dives in penalty box - Liverpool gets penalty -
Miralllas is brushed and dives outside box and gets a yellow card -
Maybe Mirallas should go and play for Liverpool

Well, for one thing, they were down a man for twenty fewer minutes. Big difference playing shorthanded for 35 minutes and 55 minutes.

And on balance of play after going down to ten men for a lot longer we were a lot more of a threat than Arsenal were.
As I understand it we miss a pen and almost certainly would have won if we had scored but we are a disgrace because we lost narrowly.
Arsenal scraped a draw in more favourable circumstances and this means they have shown great character.
Nothing too rationale about things at the moment.

Real simple. 10 men against 11 for to long. Bossed them for most of the game which we lost because of a stupid no need tackle which reduced us to 10 men ... Which part is absurd !!
