I'm sure RM had Del on the side ready to bring on before Rom scored. Once the goal went in RM made him sit back down. Gotta be tough for the lad. I would like to see him being used a bit more than he is this half of the season. Lennin is gonna be knackered soon playing all these games

Let's be honest.....as well as Lennon has done recently he is no Deulefou..

Where it is particularly noticeable is when Aaron gets into a position on the right to whip in a cross.

There is nowhere near the wicked, fizzing accuracy which creates opening after opening that we see from Del......the Swansea game in particular should have seen Rom filling his golden boots such was the quality of Gerald's crosses.

I appreciate Lennon cannot be left out at the moment but the challenge for Bobby is this...find a way to unleash both of them from the start.

The selection problem increases come August when Yarmalenko is added to the mix ;)

Lennon is a two edged sword though. He offers a lot defensively. I've also got a feeling that Del's future may lie in a more central role. He could defo cause havoc running at defenders from a central position.

Lennon's no Deulofeu in terms of talent but he contributes far more to our general play. They're both at their most dangerous on the right and we can't play them both.

Unfortunately, we're short of people who "defend" in offensive positions (Lukaku and Barkley are poor in this regard) and we need someone like Lennon to hound opposition defenders and keep the pressure off.

Del will get another chance, of that I'm sure, but we can't be afraid to let talent sit on the bench if the team functions better as a unit without him

Agree with that. In a central role, he could swap from wing to wing. Basically just see which of the 4 defenders he could bum most :p
Just thinking back to Osman's stumpy legs failing to cover 4 or 5 yards at Wembley in 2009, but now we have Lennon, Del and Kev that would eat that space up. It's a prospect.

I can see Del and Lennon on the same pitch but I don't know if this is wishful thinking. Sadly it may be at the expense of Coleman with three at the back.
Either way it gives really good players the chance to rest for periods next season. That's a big change from few years ago.
