The only downside to this of course, is that Martinez's reluctance to play him this season will ultimately play a part in reducing his value come July.
Kevin is not without fault with his obvious attitude, silly dismissals and the penalty fiasco last year, but personally he's still a decent player.
Not as good as he may think he is, however in parts that's a factor in why in the past he was so unpredictable - in both a good and bad way.
He showed under both Moyes and Martinez's first season that he could contribute vital goals, although now he's just dwindling away on the bench.
If Martinez didn't want him around then he should have let him go in the summer, or sold him in January. Sitting around is not helping either party.
